The Fairbanks House museum is now open for Outdoor Tours of the Old Homestead
by appointment only Wednesday through Sunday
Garden tours will be offered Thursday and Saturday, also by appointment

Outdoor Tour @ $12.00: One of our knowledgeable docents will walk you around the House and property, and through almost 400 years of history as you hear the stories of North America’s oldest wood frame house c. 1637 and the fascinating family that lived here.
Garden Tour (rain or shine) @ $5: Docent and Fairbanks Garden Club member Lisa Brayton will guide you through the extensive colonial herb garden with more than 30 plant varieties and flower beds around the House. She will also share with you some history of the House and family with an emphasis on how 17th century colonists used these plants for cooking and medicines.
Virtual Tour @ $10: Our most experienced docent and part-time historian Stuart Christie will guide you through our NEW 3-D interactive virtual tour of the Fairbanks House. You’ll have 48 hours of access on your computer, tablet or smart phone. Click on VISIT 3-D Virtual Tour.

Tours run approximately 45 minutes
All visitors must comply with the following regulations,
required by the State of Massachusetts and the Dedham Board of Health
to ensure the health and safety of visitors, docents, and staff.

Tours must be scheduled 24 hours ahead by calling 781 326-1170
Each tour will be limited to one family group or four individuals
Social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet must be practiced
Face coverings must be worn at all times
Hand sanitizer will be on site
Our restroom is closed at this time
No Walk-In tours will be allowed
